Our 15 day Itenga Wildlife Safari includes 11 nights standard mobile safari with 3 night's hotel/guesthouse accommodation.

INCLUDES:

11 nights camping with camp bed, mattress & small pillow, all meals when camping, 3 nights hotel / guesthouse at Windhoek, Swakopmund & Victoria Falls, on a bed and breakfast basis, excursions and entrances to Sossusvlei, Himbas, Etosha National Park, Mahango National Park, Bwabwata National Park, Chobe National Park. DAY 1: WINDHOEK

Windhoek, with its lingering heritage of German architecture, activities and atmosphere is a city that can be visited throughout the year. The day is spent at leisure. We are met by our guide at the hotel reception for a briefing at +-18h00.

DAY 2/3: NAMIB DESERT - SOSSUSVLEI

Our journey takes us south to the heart of the Namib Desert. The following morning is an early departure for Sossusvlei stopping in the dune belt to enjoy the changing colours of the world's highest sand dunes. The morning is spent walking amongst the dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. On the way back to our camp we enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon.

DAY 4: SWAKOPMUND

Swakopmund, with its German colonial atmosphere, is the principal coastal resort of Namibia. Time is spent at leisure to enjoy the charm of this old town or to undertake one of the many optional activities on offer (scenic flights, hot air ballooning, etc. own expense).

DAY 5: SPITZKOPPE

The Spitzkoppe is also described as the “Matterhorn of Namibia”. Rising to an altitude of about 1800 meters, the Spitzkoppe, due to its striking outlines, it is regarded as the most well-known mountain in the country. Situated in an endless, dry plain, the island of mountains can be seen from far away. We enjoy one of the various walking trails available.

DAY 6: HIMBA VISIT

During the afternoon we visit a Himba village to gain a glimpse into their way of life. The Himbas are a semi-nomadic tribe, who live in scattered settlements throughout the region.

DAY 7/8/9: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

We travel through the truly unique landscape of the Park which is the one of the most important and best reserves and game sanctuaries the world. Etosha is the last remaining natural wild sanctuary of the black rhino. We enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives, visiting the famous Etosha Pan and numerous waterholes.

DAY 10/11: KAVANGO RIVER

We travel north towards the border of Angola. We enter the Kavango region which is the home of the well-known woodcarvers. We camp at the banks of the Kavango River where hippos might be heard close by. The next morning visit Mahango Game Reserve, with the chances of spotting crocodiles, elephants, hippos and rare antelopes like Sable, Roan, and Sitatunga. In the afternoon we enjoy a mokoro excursion in this beautiful area.

DAY 12/13: CHOBE

We enter Botswana where we visit Chobe, famous for its magnificent sunsets and amazing landscapes. On our second day we enjoy a morning game drive in the national park, searching for big herds of elephants. In the afternoon we depart on a sunset cruise to watch the wild life from the comfort of our boat.

DAY 14: VICTORIA FALLS

Victoria Falls is without doubts one of the most wonderful spectacles in the world. We have time at leisure to enjoy a variety of activities and to visit the falls.

DAY 15: VICTORIA FALLS

The safari ends after breakfast (+-10h00)
